India’s BRICS representative, Dammu Ravi, stated today that the central theme of the two-day BRICS summit is sharing cooperation mechanisms and outcomes with the Global South; Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also publicly called for avoiding the weaponization of critical minerals to prevent hindering shared prosperity.
BRICS is holding a two-day summit starting on the 12th at the Bharat Mandapam convention center in New Delhi. Today, representatives from member states and partner nations engaged in discussions with delegates from international and regional organizations, including the United Nations (UN), the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the African Union, and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
